When a calm kind of madness becomes young people’s everyday way of releasing pressure, quirky finds naturally become the ideal carrier for emotional value. We connected the 618 shopping festival with the 525 “I Love Me” Mental Health Day and built a “meaningless but happy” year-end list of good things, letting users genuinely feel that shopping can also soothe their mood. To bring this “manual of happiness” to life, the key was to make the products themselves the first medium of emotion. Familiar pharmaceutical packaging was used to hold strange, non-medicinal little surprises, cleverly blending the mental state of 525 with the product inventory of 618. The result suggests that these “quirky little pills” can also cure the small unhappinesses of everyday life.
